Hard resetting your browser
There may be a number of reasons why you may need to hard reset your browser. This guide should show you the steps to perform a hard reset. This guide is based on Google Chrome, however this should be similar in most other popular browsers.
Hard reset your browser
- Open the page that you need to hard reset and press the ‘F12’ key on your keyboard.
- You should see a window pop up to the right of your screen. This is known as the browser's ‘Developer Tools’.
- At the top of this new pane should be a number of Tabs. We'll want to look for the one labelled "Application" and click it.

- In the left-hand menu, expand the options for Local Storage & Session Storage. This should reveal another menu item that includes your OFS URL.

- Right Click the Menu Item containing your OFS URL, and then click Clear. Do this for both the Local and Session Storage options.

- Finally, whilst the Developer Tools menu is still open right-click on the ‘refresh’ icon in your browser. This should give you 3 new options.
- Click the ‘Empty Cache and Hard Reload’ button, and the page should reload.
- Close the ‘Developer Tools’ window by either pressing the ‘F12’ key or clicking the ‘X’ in the top right corner.
