Let’s explain how OFS aggregates and presents data. This is done in two different ways; Based on shifts and Based on jobs.
What are the reports in Analytics based on?
- Line Reports look at reports based on shifts starting within the selected time period. I.e. Line and Line by Crew.
- Product Reports look at reports based on jobs starting within the selected time period. I.e. Product and Product by Crew.
- Reason Reports look at reports based on both shifts and jobs starting within the selected time period. I.e.:
- Reason Report = shift based
- Reason by Crew = shift based
- Reason by Product = job based
Shift Based Reports
Any shift that has a start time on a given day is included in the data for that day’s report.
- Those that start before the day and run into the morning of the day are not included
- Those that start at the end of the day and run into the next day are included in full
As long as your shifts have regular start and end times this will pick up your shift pattern automatically.
For example:
- Day 6am – 2pm (06:00 – 14:00)
- Afternoon 2pm – 10pm (14:00 – 22:00)
- Night 10pm – 6am (22:00 – 06:00)
In this example, a Tuesday based on shifts would be from 6am Tuesday to just before 6am Wednesday morning and would include the full Morning/Day, Afternoon, and Night shift.
Job Based Reports
In a similar way to the Shift reports, Job based reports are based on Jobs that have started in a day. Those that start before the day and run into the day are not included. Those that start in the day and run into the next day are included in full.
For example:
- All the data within Job B, Job C, Job D, Job E, and Job F will be included for Wednesday.
- Job A, Job G, and Job H are all excluded.
