# What is the Challenge ETA and how is it calculated?
## Explains what the Challenge ETA on the console shows operators and the rules OFS uses to calculate it.
The **Challenge ETA** shown on the **Operator Console** gives operators a target timeframe for finishing their job, based on historical performance. It's designed to give a concrete target that helps lift efficiency and productivity.
OFS calculates the Challenge ETA using three parameters:
1. **Time period** — looks at jobs run in the past 6 months.
2. **Number of jobs** — analyses the best 10 jobs in that period. The Challenge ETA isn't SKU-specific by default — it looks at the best 10 jobs across all runs, regardless of SKU.
- To target a Challenge ETA at a group of SKUs instead, you can set up a `targetGroup` metadata field.
- Each SKU can then be allocated to a `targetGroup` (e.g. `6pk`, `12pk`), so the Challenge ETA is calculated specifically for that group.
- This needs an extra column added to your products list.
3. **Minimum job count** — only jobs with at least 1,000 counts are included by default, so overly short jobs don't skew the target.
