What is the Challenge ETA and how is it calculated?

Explains what the Challenge ETA on the console shows operators and the rules OFS uses to calculate it.

The Challenge ETA shown on the Operator Console gives operators a target timeframe for finishing their job, based on historical performance. It's designed to give a concrete target that helps lift efficiency and productivity.

OFS calculates the Challenge ETA using three parameters:

  1. Time period — looks at jobs run in the past 6 months.
  2. Number of jobs — analyses the best 10 jobs in that period. The Challenge ETA isn't SKU-specific by default — it looks at the best 10 jobs across all runs, regardless of SKU.
    • To target a Challenge ETA at a group of SKUs instead, you can set up a targetGroup metadata field.
    • Each SKU can then be allocated to a targetGroup (e.g. 6pk, 12pk), so the Challenge ETA is calculated specifically for that group.
    • This needs an extra column added to your products list.

  3. Minimum job count — only jobs with at least 1,000 counts are included by default, so overly short jobs don't skew the target.
