What is slow running?

On the OFS Console you might have noticed a lighter shade of green on the speedometer. This light green area is defined as the ‘Run Slow’ range.

Running slow is a speed range that is below the normal running range. It is considered to be lost time as you are not making as many units as you expect to if the line is operating within this range. 

For most OFS deployments, the run slow range is configured to be 80% of the rated speed. 

While this is the default configuration, it can be altered if this range is not suitable for your specific production process.
