Within OFS-X and OFS Go! there is support for editing values recorded by the software. This is helpful when counts of product change. OFS v11u2 introduces extra controls for these values.
Counter Edits
Not all counters are made equal and not all are suited for manual editing, so to prevent a counter from being edited, it is now possible for OFS to configure your software to allow or reject edits on a counter by counter basis.
For disabled counters, OFS users will see a grayed out field when they try to edit values, and edits made via API will be rejected as they are not permitted.
The styling of disabled counter fields is different in the UI to signal this new behaviour to the user.
Calculated Counters
In some OFS setups, values for counters are calculated based on other inputs. For example some setups count in cases, and scale the value captured into kilograms or tonnes. When this is the case, edits to counters are not possible, since they are derived from other values.
In all cases, moving forward, editing of calculated counters is disabled.
