How to log a downtime reason and comment against a monitor point?
Recording what happened at a monitor point, using the Events Chart.
Before you start: reason codes only appear at monitor point level if they have been enabled for monitor point logging. An Administrator sets this in Fusion Manager by making sure the reason's group includes monitor points. If the reason list comes up empty at a monitor point span, this is why.
Step 1 — Open the Events Chart
From the Console, press the EVENTS button on the right-hand rail.

Step 2 — Select the monitor point span and press Update
Monitor points appear in their own lanes on the Events Chart, below the machine state lane, labelled Relay followed by a number. Click the span you want — it highlights the period — then press Update at the bottom of the pop-up.

Step 3 — Select the reason, add a comment, and press Update
The reason list works the same way as it does for an ordinary downtime. You can also add a comment against this specific event, which is where the detail goes that a reason code cannot carry.
Press Update in the bottom right corner to commit.

Test it
The monitor point span now carries its reason on the Events Chart.
