How to update the IN counts in OFS?

Correcting the number of units counted IN on the line, using the Events Chart.

IN counts are corrected on the Events Chart rather than on the Console, because the correction applies to a span of time rather than to a job. There are two routes to the same edit.

Option 1 — Edit the span directly

Step 1 — Open the Events Chart and select the span

From the Console, press the EVENTS button, then click the span whose counts you need to correct.

Step 2 — Press Update

Step 3 — Press Advanced

Step 4 — Enter the correct counts

Option 2 — Use the Edits Tool

You need an Administrator or Analytics User with Editor role for this route.

Step 1 — Turn on the Edits Tool

In the Events Chart, press the Edits Tool in the top right corner.

Step 2 — Select the span and press Update

Step 3 — Scroll to the In counts and update them

What the correction changes

One edit updates five places at once: the span itself, the job total, the monitor point total and rate, the counter chart, and the live count on the Console. You do not need to refresh anything.

The edit is recorded in the Edit Log against the span, with the login that made it, the time, and the before and after figures.
