How to leave a comment or feedback on the Console
Comments carry the detail a reason code cannot — what actually happened, and what was done about it.
Leaving a comment on the Console
Step 1 — Press the feedback box
It sits in the bottom right corner of the Console and reads Click here to enter feedback. It is there at all times, whatever state the line is in.

Step 2 — Type the comment and press Enter
For example: boxes not feeding through the case packer, called QA.
Press Enter to post, or Escape to cancel. There is no confirmation message — the box simply goes back to its placeholder text, which means it worked.

The comment attaches to whatever span is running at that moment and is stamped with the time, the operator and the crew. Opening the box also swaps the mini events chart for the comment history, so the Console is a place to read past feedback as well as leave it.
Leaving a comment on the Events Chart
Use this to comment on something that has already happened.
Step 1 — Press the EVENTS button

Step 2 — Select the span and press Update

Step 3 — Enter the comment and press Update

Finding comments afterwards
A small red triangle appears on the Events Chart at the time the comment was posted. Opening that span shows the comment with its author, crew and timestamp.

Comments keep the crew that was logged in at the time of writing, so correcting a shift later does not rewrite who said what.
For comments across a longer period, use the Comments report in Analytics. It covers the last three months.
