How to group a report based on product data?

You can group Analytics reports by product metadata — like tub type, grade, or tray size — to break down performance by product rather than just by line or shift.

Step 1 — Create the product metadata field

Create a new product metadata field, for example tubType. See How to create an editable field in OFS for the setup steps.

Step 2 — Fill in the data for each SKU

Enter the metadata value for every SKU, for example cardboard or plastic for tubType.


Step 3 — Group the Product report by the new field

In the Product report, open Settings and select tubType as a grouping button.



Step 4 — Aggregate by Job

Set the report's date aggregation to By Job.

Product metadata is picked up at the start of a job, so By Job is the aggregation level where metadata values show correctly. At other aggregation levels, a metadata column can appear blank — this usually means the jobs within that period disagree, not that the data is missing.
