How to access the Console on a tablet or mobile phone?
The Console has a tablet view built for smaller screens, opened by adding one word to the end of your line's address.
Step 1 — Open a browser on the device
Use Google Chrome or Safari.
Step 2 — Enter your line's Console URL with tablet.html on the end
A standard Console URL looks like this:
https://yourcompanyname.ofsxpress.com/WORKCENTRE/console/
Add tablet.html after the final forward slash:
https://yourcompanyname.ofsxpress.com/WORKCENTRE/console/tablet.html
For example:
https://ofsbeverages.ofsxpress.com/OFS001/console/tablet.html
Replace yourcompanyname with your organisation's name and WORKCENTRE with the line code you want to open.
Step 3 — Save the link on the device
Bookmark the address or add it to the device's home screen so operators can open the line in one tap rather than retyping the URL each shift.
Why use the tablet view
The standard Console layout is responsive, and at narrow widths it does not just shrink — whole blocks drop off the screen. The shift and run clocks, Shift Start, Shift Units and the ETA block are the first to go. The tablet view is laid out for a smaller display, so the controls an operator needs stay on screen.
If a control looks missing on a standard Console on a large screen, widen the browser window before treating it as a fault.
