How do I connect my OFS Box to wifi?

OFS Boxes rely on a 4G signal to transmit data back into the OFS software. In cases when a good 4G signal is unavailable, you may be able to connect the OFS Box to your local Wifi Network.

There are a few key pieces of information that you will need from OFS prior to being able to connect to your local WiFi network.
Throughout this article, these info pieces will be in bold.

Getting Connected

  1. Power on the OFS box and wait for ~2 minutes whilst it boots up.
  2. Using your phone or a laptop, look for the wifi network RUT240_xxxx
  3. Connect to this network using the WiFi password provided to you by OFS.
  4. Once connected, open a web browser and navigate to the Admin Page URL.
  5. Log in using the admin username and password.
  6. Using the navigation on the left hand side, navigate to ‘Network’ and then ‘Wireless’, then click on ‘scan’
  7. Find your network in the list, and then click ‘Join Network’
  8. Enter your site WiFi password, and a name for the network (Make a note of this), then click Submit.
  9. Press 'Save and Apply' to save the changes.
  10. Using the navigation on the left hand side again, navigate to 'Network' and then 'Failover'.
  11. On this screen, you should be able to see the network name that you set in Step 8.
    Click and drag this network to the top of the list, and ensure that it is showing "Online" and the switch is set to "on".
  12. Again, click 'Save & Apply'
  13. Please wait for approximately 2 minutes, and then reboot the device.
