How to edit an incorrect job selected in the Console?

If the wrong job was selected on the Console, you can point the recorded job span at the correct order with the Edits Tool.

You need an Administrator or Analytics User with Editor role to use the Edits Tool.

Step 1 — Open the Events Chart and turn on the Edits Tool

Press the Edits Tool button in the top right corner. The period editor opens along the bottom of the chart.

The Events Chart shows up to 14 days at a time. If the job you are after is older than the window on screen, move the date range back before going looking for it.

Step 2 — Select the job span

Step 3 — Press Update

Step 4 — Press the pencil icon beside the order details

Step 5 — Select the correct job and press OK

Step 6 — Turn the Edits Tool off

Press the Edits Tool button again to leave edit mode.

Test it

Reopen the job span and check it now carries the correct order. The counts recorded against that span move with it, so product-level reports pick the change up from here.

Every edit is recorded in the Edit Log against the span, with the login that made it and the time it was made.

The same Update panel is also where you fix a job's Rated Speed after the event, which is the fix when a finished job's performance figures look wrong for the product that ran.
