How to create new Display Groups in OFS
"Display Groups" are used to organise lines in OFS, allowing for clearer display & additional reporting in OFS Analytics.
Your OFS software is typically pre-configured with a single, site-level Display Group. This default setup is perfect for quickly generating site-wide reports in Analytics.
However, you can create additional Display Groups to gain more granular insights. For example, you might want to group lines by:
-
Machine or process type (e.g., "CNC Machines," "Packaging Lines")
-
Physical location (e.g., "Building A," "Clean Room")
-
Specific production runs or teams
Creating these custom groups allows you to filter your Analytics reports and dashboards to compare performance and focus on specific areas of your operation.
How to Add a New Display Group
Follow these simple steps to create a new group:
-
Navigate to OFS Fusion Manager: From the OFS Menu, navigate to Fusion Manager. (Note, you will need the Administrator permission in OFS to be able to access Fusion Manager)
-
Find Display Group Settings: On the left-hand side, select "Advanced Settings" and then "Display Groups".
-
Create New Group: Click the "New Display Group" button.
-
Name Your Group: Provide a clear, descriptive name for your new group (e.g., "Press Brakes" or "Assembly Line 2"). Title can remain blank.
-
Assign Lines: Select "Display Groups Assignment", and then select the lines that you want in the group.
-
Save: Click "Save" to finalise the group creation.
Your new Display Group will now be available in the Lines Selection page within your Analytics reports and dashboards.
